School staff work closely with a number of visiting professionals to ensure that the holistic needs of individual pupils enjoy high status in the school environment.
A Social Worker from the Children with Disabilities Team (or the Adult Team) will usually be invited to a pupil’sAnnual Review of SEN meeting although there can be no guarantee that a social worker will actually be present. Parents may also request access to a social worker via the school, and/or the head teacher may refer a child to social services should circumstances demand.
An officer from the Prospects Service visits the school on a regular basis to conduct careers interviews with older pupils and attend the Annual Review of SEN meetings for pupils aged 14 years and over.
A school medical officer holds annual Medicals and clinic appointments are forwarded courtesy of the school.
School Nurse (part-time)

Speech and Language Therapy
The Speech and Language Therapy Service provides an advisory service and our therapist is in school regularly to see individuals, groups of pupils and supervise the delivery of speech and language therapy programmes by school staff.
Visits by qualified physiotherapists are carried out regularly to assess the mobility needs of pupils, carry out physiotherapy programmes and/or supervise the implementation of physiotherapy programmes by school staff.
Visits by qualified Occupational Therapist are carried out regularly to assess the positional and access needs of pupils, carry out programmes and/or supervise the implementation of programmes by school staff.
The services of a music therapist are purchased by the school.
Consultant Psychiatrist, Clinical Psychologist and Consultant Paediatrician
Pupils are sometimes referred to consultants who are expert in the health-related needs of children with SEN and disability. The school is always happy to work in partnership with consultants to ensure a good standard of holistic provision.

Respite care can be organised through Family Link or NCH.
