School staff work closely with a number of visiting professionals to ensure that the holistic needs of individual pupils enjoy high status in the school environment.
A Social Worker from the Children with Disabilities Team (or the Adult Team) will usually be invited to a pupil’s Annual Review of SEN meeting although there can be no guarantee that a social worker will actually be present. Parents may also request access to a social worker via the school, and/or the head teacher may refer a child to social services should circumstances demand.
Any advice concerning health and welfare can be sought from the school nurse via school.
